«01-99», a 1959 short comedic film shot by Hayfilm, stars Mher Mkrtchyan. The story follows the main character Garsevan, who must deliver a wine barrel entrusted to him by Brigadier Sisak to a man named Poghos, whom he does not recognize but knows his phone number 01-99. On the way, Garsevan drinks the wine from the barrel, gets intoxicated, and falls onto the road edge. A passing motorist picks him up, and Garsevan, in a drunken state, says the words 01-99. The driver thinks he is being robbed and takes him to the hospital, where they conduct a forensic examination. This confusion sets the film's events in motion.
