In 1922, Indian archaeologists discovered the ruins of the ancient city of Mohenjo‑Daro, a major center of the Harappan culture. Among the remains were fused clay and mineral fragments that had hardened into glass, indicating that the site had experienced temperatures of around 1500 °C. This evidence points to a level of technological sophistication far beyond what was previously assumed for that era. Scholars—including historian and anthropologist Michael Kremo, physicists Andrey Sklyarov and Yuri Mazurin, and Indologist Sergey Bulantsev—have discussed these findings. In a related interview, director Arman Petrosyan remarked that the history of humanity may be viewed as a spiral, with many locked rooms in a vast museum of the past containing facts that challenge conventional historical narratives. He suggested that advanced civilizations may have existed long before the commonly accepted timeline, and that new scientific discoveries could extend the period of highly developed Earthly societies by thousands of years.
