الوصف:

Eguisheim is a French commune in the Haut‑Rhin department of Alsace, celebrated as one of the most beautiful villages in France since 2003 and named the French favorite village in 2013. The medieval town, built around a castle, unfolds in concentric circles and is renowned for its preserved architecture, colorful houses, fountains, colonial courtyards, and a 13th‑century church. Visitors can stroll its streets, admire the old inscriptions on door lintels, and enjoy the village’s floral displays in summer and festive Christmas market. Located just south of Colmar, Eguisheim is a key stop on the Alsace wine route, which spans 170 km across 119 communes. Archaeological evidence shows the area has been inhabited since the Paleolithic, with Neanderthal remains and Roman artifacts indicating a long history of settlement.
