In this video we show how to make a traditional Uzbek and Russian-style baklava. First, we mix cream, sugar, egg yolks, and a stabilizer, then combine with flour and butter to form a soft dough. The dough is divided into three parts and chilled for 20 minutes. While the dough rests, we prepare the filling by mixing chopped walnuts, raisins, egg whites, and sugar. After the dough has rested, we roll it out, layer the filling, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 35–40 minutes. The result is a golden, flaky pastry with a sweet, nutty filling.
