Let the Thunder of Victory Rumble: Unofficial Imperial Russian Anthem (1791-1816)

"Let the Thunder of Victory Rumble" was composed in 1791 to commemorate the surrender and fall of the Ottomans during the Seventh Russo‑Turkish War and to honor Catherine the Great for leading that victory. Its regal tone remained popular among aristocrats, becoming an anthem and popular cheer for many years. The song is also infamous for being the Russian anthem during the Napoleonic Wars and for Tsar Alexander I. The video is not tied to modern events.
