Michael Gann, 55, of Inwood, New York, faces federal charges for allegedly building and hiding homemade bombs across Manhattan, including on subway tracks and residential rooftops. Prosecutors say Gann constructed at least seven improvised explosive devices (IEDs) using chemicals bought online and threw one onto the Williamsburg Bridge subway tracks. He was arrested on June 5 with another device in his possession. Authorities credit swift law enforcement action for preventing potential tragedy, Fox News has reported. Gann faces multiple charges, including attempted destruction of property with explosives, and could face up to 40 years in prison if convicted.
