Lionel Messi equalised for Inter Miami in the 35th minute with a left‑footed shot from the edge of the box. Noah Allen gave the hosts a 2-1 lead in the 61st minute, tying the aggregate at 2-2. Messi sealed the comeback with a penalty in the 84th minute, completing his brace and securing a 3-1 win for Inter Miami. Goalkeeper Óscar Ustari made seven saves in the closing moments. Inter Miami advanced to the semifinals for the first time in its history, where they will face either Pumas UNAM or Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
