At school, Marinette harbors a crush on Adrien but remains awkward around him, whereas Cat Noir, as a superhero, loves Ladybug but his ego irritates her. Throughout the year, Ladybug discovers many admirable qualities in Cat Noir, and Marinette grows closer to Adrien, working hard to overcome her shyness.
