On 26 September 2025, Alexey Molchanov set the 40th world record in freediving by descending to 126 meters (413 feet) in Limassol, Cyprus, during the 35th AIDA Freediving World Championship, using PRO Hyper Bifins and PRO Bifins 3. The achievement matched the record of his friend and French athlete Arno Gerald, who had previously set the same record earlier that year. This performance established the bifins as the deepest freediving fins in the world.
