Ranger Regrets Laughing at Rhino When it Charges Him

Tervin Mdluli, a seasoned safari guide, was leading his group on a dry morning in Greater Kruger when he spotted a herd of elephants at a waterhole. While the elephants were drinking, a large rhino bull appeared, heading straight toward the young males at the end of the herd. A tense standoff ensued, but the elephants quickly backed down, allowing the rhino to push them away and clear the road. With the elephants gone, the rhino turned its attention to the safari vehicle, prompting the crew to reverse away safely. The incident left everyone in awe and a reminder of the importance of maintaining distance from wildlife.
