Anđelka Bojanić, a young lawyer in 1936 Yugoslavia, seeks love and her place in a patriarchal society. After a brief marriage to judge Toma Đurović ends when she loses her innocence before marriage, she moves to Trebinje to escape gossip. There she meets new people, faces ghosts of the past, and navigates complex relationships, including her childhood friend Nenad Aleksić, now an aviator. The series follows her struggles and eventual path to happiness.
