الوصف:

Hebephrenia, a form of schizophrenia that emerges during puberty, was first described by German psychiatrist E. Haecker in 1878. It is characterized by a gradual onset of negative personality changes such as emotional detachment, loss of interest, and impaired thinking, as well as transient psychotic symptoms like delusions and hallucinations. Patients often exhibit bizarre behavior, including impulsive aggression, disinhibited sexuality, and motor disturbances such as a stilted gait and stereotypic movements. Speech may become disordered, and the individual may show catatonic features or brief stuporous episodes. The course is typically rapid, with dementia and a stable, therapy‑resistant syndrome developing within one to two years. A forensic case illustrates the severe behavioral disturbances associated with the disorder.
