He cited the recent ceasefire agreement in Syria—where more than 400,000 people have been killed—as an example of Russia’s willingness to engage in peace efforts, suggesting that such actions could improve relations between the capitals. In Moscow, Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin stressed that any talks about returning property must be backed by tangible results, while Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Russia is ready to reciprocate in matters of property and the expulsion of diplomats.
