Osman loves the daughter of the village chief Hasan Ağa, who demands a large dowry. Osman goes to Istanbul to earn money, but on his way back he is robbed. He returns to Istanbul again, meets his army friend Şevket, who teaches him how to beat people. With this skill, Osman earns money and returns to the village, where he and Şevket plan to beat Hasan Ağa.
