The game by John Carpenter, released in 2007 as the first title for the Nintendo Wii in the United Kingdom, is a version of the “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” format featuring 15 questions. It plays continuous music throughout each question, stopping only when a wrong answer is given or the final answer is requested, though the music abruptly cuts off at the £500,000 question. Unlike its second edition, this version was the sole release from Slam! and Route1Games, and it was the only other game from Slam! besides the second edition that involved those studios. The game’s questions were largely sourced from the Sky Gamestar app, and it was the first “Millionaire” title to be classified as a first edition, despite being the fifth game released on a major platform after three Eidos titles and a Party Edition.
