In the 24th of May "Dienas ziņas" program, we discuss current events in Latvia, its regions, and worldwide. Russia has not sent a peace memorandum but instead is sending lethal drones and missiles at civilians, as the foreign minister Andrijs Sibiha said after the massive attack in Ukraine. The United States officially lifted economic sanctions on Syria, marking a significant policy shift after the Assad regime fell. Latvia will host the "Čē Čē Čempionāts", one of the most courageous student events, for the nineteenth time. In Jelgava's museum, a historical exhibition dedicated to the 1895 International Latvian Song and Music Festival is on display.
