Among all the targets hit during the twelve days of war, these images shook the hearts of Iranians. The Israeli army’s propaganda released photos of F‑14s and Tomcats, silencing the legendary birds of Iran’s sky. Aircraft that once gave the sky credibility, and were flown by elite Iranian pilots, lost that standing. Iranian airbases were bombed one after another. The force built to defend the homeland, which saved Iran in the eight‑year war, is now nothing but a shadow of its former glory. In those twelve days, Israeli pilots flew over Iran without any aircraft taking to the air, as if Iran had no air force. Today the Iranian air force cannot even counter the weakest regional powers, and rebuilding it seems impossible while the Islamic Republic remains. Yet Iran will not stay powerless; without the Islamic Republic it will fly again with aircraft from the royal air force, and Iranian pilots will soar, shouting that the sky is their domain.
