Granite-jawed Morris as Blackie meets old flame Savage, who tells him that her father, Baldwin, has just been released from prison and that he has hidden a sack of diamonds in a safe deposit box. She wants Baldwin to go straight and return the gems, asking Blackie to expedite matters; before the gumshoe can obtain the diamonds, he is arrested for Baldwin's murder.
