Dancing for Love over Hate: Afro-Caribbean favs with Discothèque Tropicale

While it is their debut MAJ together as a collective, here JOSH FB and Lena C make their second respective appearances on the channel and share a selection of their favourite Afro‑Caribbean records. From zouk to soukous, the duo aimed to showcase music and messages that they feel inspire hope, love and joy in a world struck by war and conflict that we hope to overcome together. Comprising of a group of passionate record diggers, members of Discothèque Tropicale champion their love for soulful, sun‑filled dance music from across the world, through their record label, YouTube channel and events (based mainly in London). Although they have a deep love for a wide range of African and Latin music, in particular the collective has a special interest in the music of the West Indies. The first release on their label saw an incredible revival of the zouk masterpiece "Voyager" by the late "Manix" from Guadeloupe. With plenty more in the works, be sure to keep an eye out for future releases.
