Decline's Drops: Part 44: Miroir Mensongs - Lvl. 1 (as Globule)

The patch 1.2.0, known as the Shoes & Mirrors Update, adds a new playable character, Que Sera, and a cracked magic mirror that transports the player into the first level of the new 7th World, Miroir Mensongs. In this level the world is rendered in black and white, the music plays in reverse, and the player moves left instead of right. A shadowy silhouette of Globule appears, then disappears and is replaced by the ominous Le Juge enemies that swarm the player. To progress, the player must locate a Drainer heart, drop into a dark void, and navigate the true Miroir Mensongs environment, which feels reminiscent of Lethal Laboratory and Eternal Envies. The update also introduces Bonus Stages: after picking up a Bonus Key—shown at 1:09—the player races against a cage using Globule’s flying fist, with dash arrows for speed boosts; winning the race grants a palette swap or, if all colors are used, five large Rainbow Drops for a total of 250 Drops. The update initially unlocked all alternate colors from the start, but this was patched shortly thereafter. Part 44 will feature the second Miroir Mensongs run as Que Sera.
