Disaster Arms is a fast‑paced arcade shooter that serves as a prequel to Cycle Chaser H‑5, set during the war that drives the original game’s plot. The story follows Geverel, a cyborg soldier working for the weapons firm KaiserCorps, as he battles alien forces and the failed B.A.H.N. supersoldiers. The demo is split into two acts: Act 1, Falling City, introduces the player to Geverel’s movement and four types of shots—straight, spread, homing, and flamethrower—while fighting bosses such as the Jagged Corner, Iron Sapi, and Frontline Limiter Warner. Act 2, Baptismal Garden, takes place underwater and features bosses like the Coral Corkscrew, Galactic Matter, and the infantile Sentry Chili, each requiring strategic use of the character’s abilities. Throughout the playthrough, the player collects chips to power up attacks, manage health, and achieve high scores, while the narrative hints at Geverel’s role as “The Prodigal Son” and the looming conflict with the mysterious Mildred.
