Embraced by Darkness, a Dutch black metal band formed in the underground, released their debut EP MMXXII in 2022, gaining over 50,000 Spotify streams. They recorded their first full-length album, Ex Inferis, in 2023‑2024 at Armageddon Studio, produced by Anders Backelin, featuring twelve tracks that explore themes of destruction, false prophets, and devotion to darkness. The current lineup includes Thimron on vocals, Schmerz and Schrat on guitars, Vålnad on bass, and Mort on drums, with additional studio musicians Throllv, Ngldogma, and Bloodlord. The band has shared stages across Europe with acts like Trident, Grief of Emerald, and Omnicidal, and their emblematic logo was designed by Christophe Szpajdel. Ex Inferis aims to cement their presence in the European extreme metal scene with a brutal yet atmospheric black metal sound.
