Ford Brody, a Navy bomb expert, recently reunited with his family in San Francisco, but he is called to Japan to assist his estranged father, Joe. Soon both men find themselves trapped in an escalating crisis as Godzilla, the King of Monsters, emerges from the ocean to confront malevolent adversaries threatening humanity. Alongside this, a female MUTO attacks a bridge as Ford and his crew cross it—adding to the chaos.
