(For our Global Audience) Yalda is one of the most ancient traditions in the world, dating back thousands of years to the worship of Mithra (the sun god). It marks the Winter Solstice—the precise moment when the days begin to get longer again. The Meaning: It symbolizes the victory of Light over Darkness and Good over Evil.
