On December 6 1986, a concert in Moscow’s Café Metelitsa was disrupted when Svyatoslav Zaderiy, then of the band Nate, broke into the stage and performed two songs. The organizers, alarmed by KGB officers in the hall, cut the power, which forced the following act, the band Kino, to continue acoustically. The audience sang Viktor Chernov’s “Elektrichka” while the crowd also lightly struck a volunteer electrician. Sergey Borisov, who had paid a Swiss to bring a video camera into the venue, managed to record the event, and the footage later reached fans, albeit in a shortened form.
