In the second semifinal of the 1986‑1987 KVN season, teams from the Voronezh Institute of Engineering and Construction (VISI) and Odessa State University (OGU) competed on the theme "Spring Date." The jury comprised TV host A. Knysh, journalist Y. Mak, artist V. Peskov, writer E. Uspensky, editor O. Pivovarov, journalist Y. Rost, composer V. Shainsky, journalist Y. Golovanov, deputy editor Y. Rostovtsev, and head of the Komsomol culture department S. Rogozhkin. The event was filmed in the Misi auditorium.
