No talking, just walking. Exploring the Scottish Countryside. A nice gentle short walk around the Kylesku Bridge, a remarkable piece of engineering located in the northwest Highlands of Scotland. It connects the villages of Kylesku and Unapool on the A894 road, which is part of the North Coast 500 route. Before the bridge was constructed, the only way to cross the loch was via a ferry service that operated from Kylesku. The ferry service was often disrupted by harsh weather, making travel in the region challenging. The Kylesku Bridge was officially opened on August 8, 1984, by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It replaced the ferry service and significantly improved transport and communication in the area. The bridge is an elegant example of modern engineering. It is a curved, concrete, box girder bridge with a length of approximately 276 meters (905 feet). A beautiful walk! Do enjoy :)
