Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu is the story of an intelligent honest cop played by Kamal Haasan. After a series of murders with similar patterns, Kamal Haasan is sent to the USA for further investigation. Kamal Haasan meets Jyothika in the USA who is dealing with a recent divorce and the two strike a bond. When Kamal finds out the murderers, they kidnap Jyothika. How Kamal Haasan saves Jyothika and catches the killers forms the rest of the story.
