Elon Musk went ballistic on Donald Trump’s “big beautiful bill”, days after he had a cheery farewell from his White House cost‑cutting role. It’s not the first time Mr Musk has criticised the spending bill which he argues includes too much spending and not saving. But it’s certainly his most colourful criticism of it to date. “I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Mr Musk wrote on Tuesday on his social media site X. “This massive, outrageous, pork‑filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.” It’s an extraordinary level of criticism for a person who had been incredibly close to Mr Trump.
