Valery Obodzin performed one of the most beautiful songs, first in 1978, at the end of his career. The Russian lyrics were written by Onegin Gadzikisimov, while the music was composed by Stylianos Vlavianos, a renowned Greek composer. Vlavianos had written many hits for Demis Russo, including "From Souvenirs To Souvenirs", "Forever And Ever", and "We Pretend" from the 1974 album. This song became known as "Oleandr".
