Shchedryk / Щедрик. Carol of the Bells. Original Ukrainian Version with English and Ukrainian Lyrics

Shchedryk, originally composed by Mykola Leontovych, is a Ukrainian folk chant welcoming the New Year. In 1921, the Ukrainian National Chorus performed it in the United States at Carnegie Hall. Peter J. Wilhousky later arranged the melody for orchestra and wrote new English lyrics, creating the popular "Carol of the Bells." The original version was intended for a cappella mixed four‑voice choir.
