The Holy Synod elected him as Bishop of Gorodets and Vetluzhsk on March 15, 2012. He was raised to the rank of archimandrite on March 18, 2012, and enthroned as bishop on March 29, 2012, in the Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. He was ordained on April 8, 2012, by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Rus', Metropolitan Juvenal of Krutitsy and Kolomna, Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, Archbishop Dmitry of Vitebsk and Orshansk, Bishop Feofilakt of Dmitrov, Bishop Aristarch of Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk, and Bishop Sergiy of Solnechnogorsk. He passed away on August 24, 2023, and was buried in Nizhny Novgorod. He served the Gorodetsky Eparchy, which includes parishes in the districts of Varnavinsky, Vetluzhsky, Voskresensky, Gorodetsky, Krasnobakovsky, Koverninsky, Sokolskiy, Semyonovsky, Tonkinsky, Tonshaysky, Ureysky, Sharangsky, and Shakhsunsky of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
