The US has published a document related to the National Security Strategy in which they talk about the threats to Europe. In this document the US is accusing the EU of driving policies which affect Europe in a bad way. Also, the US has given the Europeans a deadline by 2027 to step up their contributions to their own security. Friedrich Merz has said that the frozen Russian assets should go to Ukraine, not to the US. Russian diplomat Kirill Dmitriev has responded to Friedrich Merz through a blunt statement which addresses Merz’s words from the leaked transcript published by Der Spiegel.
