President Sadyr Zhaparyov laid the foundation stone for a new two‑storey air‑terminal complex at Osh International Airport on 14 February. The project will accommodate over 5 million passengers annually, covering 25 443 m², with modern facilities, parking, and future runway extensions. It is part of a broader plan to upgrade Kyrgyzstan’s aviation infrastructure, including other airports and fleet expansion. The new terminal aims to improve passenger flow, safety, and position Osh as a key transport hub in Central Asia. The project is financed by Airports of Kyrgyzstan and will be built by Kyrgyzkurush. The president emphasized the importance of the project for the southern region and the country, and outlined future expansion of routes and economic development.
