Released in 2007, the UK 1st Edition Who Wants to Be a Millionaire for Nintendo Wii was the console’s first title and the first since the UK Junior Edition GBA game to be a Nintendo exclusive, later also ported to the DS. Unlike the 2nd‑edition version, it follows the classic 15‑question format and features continuous background music that only stops when a wrong answer is given or at the final prompt, though the music abruptly cuts out at the £500,000 question. It was the only other game Slam! Studios and Route1Games worked on besides the 2nd‑edition title, and a planned World Tour version for a 2010 release never materialised. The game is notable for being the first Millionaire title billed as a “1st Edition,” and most of its questions were sourced from the Sky Gamestar apps.
