The UK 2nd Edition Nintendo DS version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire was released in 2008 as the follow‑up to the 1st Edition, which launched on the same consoles. It is the last Nintendo‑exclusive Millionaire game and the only one to use the 12‑question format that the TV show employs, a format also used in the 10th Anniversary DVD game. No contestant ever won the top prize on the UK show with this format; the highest amount reached was £150,000. Unlike the Wii port, the DS version includes video clips that play whenever a player answers a question correctly or incorrectly.
