R-Style 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback 289 4-Speed. This 1966 Ford Mustang fastback started as an A-code fastback, and in 2001 it was rebuilt as an R-style tribute with performance upgrades by Greg’s Auto Emporium. Its 289ci V8 was rebuilt with forged pistons, roller rockers, a dual-plane intake manifold, a Cobra T oil pan, and tri‑y headers linked to a side‑exit exhaust system, and the 9″ rear end has 3.50 gears and traction bars. The car rides on a lowered suspension with Torq Thrust‑style wheels and four‑wheel discs, while inside is a roll bar, bucket seats, Simpson harnesses, a fuel cell, and extra gauges. This Mustang was acquired by the selling dealer in 2025 and is now offered at no reserve in New York with the owner’s manual, a car cover, records, and a Maryland title.
