Inside the IDF “Aid Massacre” That Never Happened

A Gazan man told us that the incident took place near an aid distribution center run by the U.S.- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). On Sunday, dozens of Palestinians were shot at the center when masked gunmen opened fire on people waiting to collect aid. Initially, Western media reported that Israeli troops had fired, but the shooting actually occurred at a different GHF distribution site in Khan Younis and was carried out by Hamas. The man said that Hamas was the only group capable of such an attack and that it had no interest in harming civilians. Michael Nahum, COO of the Center for Peace Communications, explained that Hamas has maintained control over aid flow in Gaza, but the new GHF mechanism bypasses Hamas, protecting trucks from looters and delivering supplies directly to residents. As a result, Hamas is launching a counteroffensive against this effort, viewing it as an existential threat.
