Iranian strikes cause explosions across Tel Aviv

Iran carried retaliatory strikes against Israel late on Saturday night. The strikes killed 10 people, including a Palestinian family of four in Tamra and six Israelis in Bat Yam near Tel Aviv, with dozens more missing. Iran said the strikes were in "self‑defence" as a response to Israel's massive attack on the Islamic Republic's senior leadership, military bases and nuclear sites the previous day. Israel said its attack aimed to prevent Iran's nuclear program reaching "the point of no return", targeting three of its nuclear facilities. But it has also killed senior military leaders, struck Iran's energy infrastructure and issued evacuation orders for those living "near weapons factories". Israeli news outlet Israel Hayom said the evacuations were part of an effort to exert pressure on Iran's government.
