Kiss Unplugged is an MTV Unplugged album by American rock band Kiss, recorded on August 9, 1995. The band invited former members Peter Criss and Ace Frehley to join, and the positive fan reaction led to the original lineup reuniting in 1996. The performance was notable for being the only time the original members performed without makeup and for featuring Frehley and Criss alongside Eric Singer and Bruce Kulick. The concert was released on CD in March 1996 and later on DVD as part of Kissology Volume Three. A VHS and DVD documentary captured rehearsal footage and the band's first KISS Konvention appearance. The event remained a secret until the day of the taping.
