This video provides five form tips to maximize your shoulder press. First, raise the seat by at least one level to better position yourself and properly kick the dumbbells back into position. Second, lower the bench to 60 degrees instead of using an upright bench to allow a full active range of motion and generate more force while attacking the upper chest. Third, rest the back of your head and neck on the pad to stabilize and avoid sliding down the bench, reducing the risk of neck or trap injury. Fourth, keep your wrists parallel to your forearms to protect against wrist injury. Fifth, tuck your elbows in roughly 15-30 degrees instead of flaring them out to protect against shoulder injury.
