NiGHTS Into Dreams: Part 6: Stick Canyon (+ Reala!)

Here’s Elliot’s third Dream, the last one he has by himself: The Revival. It feels like the most complex Dream to complete in this game, combining regular desert ground steel machinery. As NiGHTS, some of these machines are magnets that can pull them either downwards or upwards, first seen during Course 1. During Course 3, NiGHTS passes through a blue field that magnifies them for a bit, causing Blue/Gold Chips and the dots of the Rings to stick to their body; they may fall off if NiGHTS bumps into a wall. If you bring enough of this stuff to the machine at 5:40, it will pull them off NiGHTS and convert them into points. In Course 4, NiGHTS flies up a huge fence tower, watch out for the metal boulders that fall from it. The last part of Course 4 has NiGHTS hitch a ride on an air trolley, leading them to another air trolley that you could launch yourself into during Course 3; these rides can be time wasters and you can have Elliot fall out of NiGHTS during them. These rides don’t seem particularly fun for the characters; NiGHTS gets their back stuck to them like a fly to sandpaper. The level’s boss, NiGHTS’ twin brother Reala, is the last regular one I have to cover. They are twins because Wizeman created them as equals, or at least tried to before he found out that NiGHTS was more rebellious compared to Reala’s sworn royalty to him. You can grab and attack Reala, but that won’t be enough; you have to defeat him with Paraloops, and likewise he will try and do the same to you. This is a mirror match. After beating him, I proceed to the final Dream, one that both Elliot and Claris have separately for POV. Beating Reala here also allows 2‑Player battles where you can have more of this same fight before NiGHTS and Reala.
