SMZB (生命之饼) - 海鸥之歌 (The Song of the Seagull)

The new music video from Wuhan-based punk band SMZB is based on a poem written by Lin Zhao, a Peking University student who was imprisoned for defending students during Mao Zedong's Anti-Rightist Movement in the late 1950s. A gifted writer, Lin composed endless articles and poems from her cell, writing with a hairpin dipped in her own blood because she was forbidden to use pens. She was executed in 1968, and her tragic life has been largely forgotten.
