Jean Reynaud, a jet‑setting socialite, grows bored with his marriage and begins an affair with Nicole, a new neighbor. When he hears screams, he discovers Nicole is trapped in an abusive relationship with her husband Klaus. Their growing affection is threatened by Klaus, who tracks them down. After a night of passion, Nicole reveals that she and Klaus were hired to kill Jean, but the identity of the employer remains unknown.
