Fallen Leaf: Part 107: The Postgame Wrap-Up

By this point I’ve already cleared the game, but there’s still more to be done before it’s entirely completed. Xankulos has been beaten, and Willow, after an epic battle against him as the finale, resolves to be better as a person and take more responsibility and accountability for him. Between uploading Part 106 and Part 107, the game celebrated its 1st Anniversary of July 15th, 2025. As soon as you play your save, you start out in a new NPC spot, the last one in the game: The Old Place, one of Willow’s old homes. Willow has gathered Leaf, Petal, and his daughter Thorn for one more quest they’ll need to do. However, before this quest can be taken on, there are some prerequisites they still need to achieve: collect all remaining Gold Chest Treasures throughout the whole game and gather the skills of 10 different people to complete it. Willow himself is your 10th and final party member. If you accomplish either or both of these things, Willow will acknowledge it. When ready, talk to the slab he stands next to. Willow’s basic attack is to whack things with his magic cane, which can be charged for a sine‑wave power shot. He can also use his cane to bounce off enemies like a pogo stick. The Old Place has its own things to look out for: go to the right, up the cliffs and in the bushes to find Key Fragment #10. If you have all 10 Key Fragments, they combine to make a Room Key, which opens a locked door at the Stucky O’Beach Strip’s Stucky Hotel. The house in The Old Place is owned by Cathy, one of Willow’s ex‑wives, who takes care of Baby Sprout but loathes Willow and won’t let him in. She also dislikes Thorn. I needed to take care of other things to hit 100 % in the game, including completing every part of the Encyclopedia. I had to beat one more enemy, the flat‑shelled Sewer Turtles in Sewer Turtle Ride, to add them to the Enemy Encyclopedia. I returned to the Sacred Palace; Patrick was still there, but now had to wonder about the diminished Jim Xankulos scared right next to him. Talk to Brittney again; she has a newer, harder quiz covering more character details. Win this quiz, and this Angel will reward you with 5 000 Jewels. I don’t need to spend a lot of Jewels, but this could be good if you haven’t gotten all of your frog upgrades yet, or just need to buy items. For the completed Room Key, take it to the last locked door at the Stucky Hotel, and you end up in the Developer’s Room. The three NPCs there are the three main creators of the game. The blue guy in the middle, Eddie, will sell you the game’s concept art. From this, I learned that the game was in the making for years, had a different identity planned during its early 2010s startup, including a more 16‑bit art style, different character backstories, and a more serious story involving a resistance force. With all of this known, it’s no wonder there was so much stuff put into this game that at face value looks like another tribute to 8‑bit Mega Man games. It’s just so much more than that. After taking care of all of this, time to go back to The Old Place and initiate Willow’s final quest.
