Metal Slug 3: Mission 2: Wandering at Midnight (All Routes Shown)

Metal Slug 3 Mission 2 takes place in an icy night where a zombie outbreak threatens the player. The mission begins with a hard‑hitting soundtrack and introduces zombies that can transform the player into a zombie upon contact. In zombie form, bullets are ineffective, but a second hit with zombie fluid kills them, and they move slowly with a weak jump. The zombies also replace their grenades with a powerful blood vomit attack. To revert to human form, the player must find medicine. Along the way, the player can rescue the CEO, who rewards them with the Thundercloud weapon, and may encounter Utan, whose presence depends on the chosen route. 2:43‑4:30 – Attack the Rebels. The player confronts waves of rebels, some of whom have turned into zombies. These zombies can still be shot to death, but they can also turn the player into a zombie or outright kill them if the player is already a zombie. 4:31‑8:40 – Infiltrate the Ice Cave. The player enters the cave, faces Sasquatches that try to freeze the player and then attack with a bone, and frees frozen POWs. The player defeats the Sasquatches, then uses the Elephant Slug—an elephant‑like creature that can eat chili peppers for a fire breath or a car battery for a zap—to exit the cave while cutting down more zombies. 8:41‑11:29 – BOSS. The player reaches a crater with a meteor that releases Monoeyes, which attack with psychic powers. The player must shoot down all six Monoeyes and then destroy the UFO that summons black monoliths, which can be shot to speed up the process. The mission ends after defeating the boss.
