At 0:46, legendary Hyakutaro Ichimonji appears hidden in sandbags, but he disappears when the routes branch. From 2:04 to 7:31, the player ascends a massive pyramid, battling Rebel soldiers, man‑eating plants, dandelions, and giant locusts, then climbs a long elevator and charges a gate with batteries collected from the plants. From 7:32 to 8:14, the player goes straight into a wine cellar, fighting more man‑eating plants and dandelions before encountering two branching paths. From 8:15 to 10:49, the player continues through the cellar to a fast elevator that drops them underground into the Division 6 Base, where they face the hardest part of the stage, dodging kamikaze red enemies. From 10:50 to 15:27, the player enters a different underground section filled with maggots, acid‑spewing creatures, and a Drill Slug that can be used to attack giant caterpillars; this route ends at the boss. From 15:28 to 18:35, the boss is a massive flying sun stone called the Sol Dae Rokker, which launches purple lasers, spreads shots, and summons ghostly wolves; its weak point is the red core on its forehead. Defeating it leads to the marathon final mission of the game and the era of Metal Slug.
