Mortal Kombat II is the latest high‑stakes installment in the blockbuster video game franchise, bringing back fan‑favorite champions—including Johnny Cage—who face off in a no‑holds‑barred, gory battle to defeat the dark rule of Shao Kahn and protect Earthrealm. The film, directed by Simon McQuoid and based on the videogame created by Ed Boon and John Tobias, will be released in theaters and IMAX on October 24, 2025, with international releases beginning October 22, 2025.
