Mother of sole Air India crash survivor leaves UK home for airport | AFP

The mother of the sole survivor of Air India's Flight AI171 crash leaves her Leicester home for the airport to fly to India, where her son Vishwash Kumar Ramesh is in hospital. Ramesh is believed to be the only person to have survived the crash, which happened shortly after the plane took off, killing the 241 other people on board as well as at least 24 people on the ground. Ramesh's brother, Ajay Kumar Ramesh, was also on the flight, but is believed to have perished in the disaster.
