Howdy ya’ll. Today we will wrap up our series of videos diving into Paris by focusing on the grand architecture which lined the streets of the city in the 19th century. Intricately designed roads, fortified infrastructure, and a vast underground tunnel system that stretches for over 200 miles; when we turn our attention to the current narrative we are looking at one of the most complex builds in all of history. The Catacombs of Paris, according to the narrative, were founded as Roman Quarries in the 1st Century BC, but may actually have a much older, and much more esoteric history that stretches back far earlier than that. Today we will examine the more unknown, hidden, and seldom discussed theories regarding Paris and its deep underground infrastructure. Again, these are all just theories, but I believe they will tie together nicely with our deep dive into the first photographs of Paris taken from 1851 through 1877. Enjoy!
